Venetian Golf & River Club is a guard-gated community on the north side of Laurel Road, just east of I-75 (Exit 195). It has about 1,380 homes, built by WCI Communities from the early 2000s on, and it runs along the Myakka River.

Sarasota Memorial Hospital–Venice is about 3 miles away on Laurel Road, I-75 is right at the entrance, and downtown Venice and the beaches are about 15 minutes west. Some listings use a Nokomis address; the MLS area is North Venice, 34275.
