What to Know Before You Buy in North Port
Flood zones and elevation. Hurricane Ian brought serious flooding to parts of North Port in 2022. Check the flood zone, ask for an elevation certificate and get insurance quotes before you make an offer.
Water and sewer. Some North Port homes are on city water and sewer, and others use a well and septic system. Find out which, and budget for inspections.
New construction costs. Look past the base price: lot premiums, upgrades, HOA dues and any community development district (CDD) fees all affect your monthly cost.
